Frequently Asked Questions

Does my app need to be rewritten in Swift or Objective-C?

Nope!

Buglife iOS is written entirely in Objective-C, meaning it can be used in Obj-C, Swift, and mixed Obj-C/Swift projects.

Buglife Android is written in Java, and can be used in both Java & Kotlin projects.

Do I need an account?

Nope! Download the SDK from GitHuband start using it in your app today!

What are the benefits of signing up?

Creating a Buglife account allows you to set up advanced 3rd-party integrations, as well as invite team members to collaborate on the Buglife dashboard. An account is also required for certain advanced features, such as QA Mode, which are toggled on/off from the web dashboard. Sign up for free!

I already use a crash reporting tool.
Great! Buglife works alongside crash reporting SDKs and all your other favorite tools. We're here to help you capture all the bugs that aren't crashes.
How will the SDK affect my app's size?

The SDK package that we release includes slices for arm7, arm7s and arm64, as well as corresponding slices for Bitcode. This gives the appearance of the SDK having a very large size impact.

However, the final size overhead on your IPA will be only ~2 MB, even with the most basic optimizations enabled. And with App Thinning, the overhead on your app's download size will be even smaller.

Is this safe for the App Store?

Yes! In fact, most of our customers use Buglife in App Store builds to collect customer feedback.
